Mr. Charles started shining shoes in a time where it was considered a "hustle" as a first job for a young man. At the age of 8, he picked up a rag, brush, brown and black polish, and stuffed it all in a glass mason jar, and hit the streets.

Mr. Charles began shining at places like taverns, cab companies, outside of businesses and more. While working he would have gentleman place their foot on his glass mason jar...but one day it broke (a blessing in disguise). His landlord bought him a new shoe shine kit, and Mr. Charles was prepared to take his business to a "new level".

Working in various industries such as sales, service, and hospitality, Mr. Charles has dedicated his life to helping others through his personality and services. During his life's work, the love of his first business starting at age 8 of shining shoes never left him.

That's why after nearly 60 years of shining shoes he opened Charles Elite Shoes Shine & Repair World, where his mission is to help other young men and women learn the trade of providing service and learn to interact with people developing their social skills through the art of shining shoes. His goal is to revive the industry of shoe shiners and cobblers.
